About Me
Hi! My name is Faith Walker, and I’m a junior at East Carolina University studying Architectural Technology. I’m from Western North Carolina and have always loved traveling, cooking, and learning about different cultures. I’ve had the chance to visit places like France, Italy, and Switzerland, and those experiences really opened my eyes to how culture shapes the spaces we live in.
For this blog, Korea's Cultural Blueprints, I’ll be exploring how Korean culture influences architecture and the built environment. I’m especially interested in how design reflects cultural values and how those ideas are being blended with modern, sustainable architecture. As someone who’s very interested in sustainability, I’m excited to see how Korea’s traditional architecture compares to newer approaches being used in today’s cities.
I’m thrilled to learn more while studying abroad and to share what I discover along the way. I hope this blog gives me (and maybe you, too) a better understanding of how architecture can tell a story about the people and culture behind them.
